The pen produces monopolar current (at the tip), and the other pole needs to be conducted by the hands to form a loop with the tip of the Electronic Acupuncture Pen, thus producing electrical impulses. Therefore, it is normal to feel a slight numbness in the hand holding the pen, which shows its function, not a quality problem.
